Poor Self
Esteem is a relationship between you and you!
Why on earth is this relationship not the best one in your universe?
Haven't we all come face to face with the dilemma of the chicken and the
egg? Do we need good self esteem to be successful in life, or do we need to be
successful to have good self esteem?
Our self esteem affects
every part of our life experience. What has happened to us when we no
longer hold ourselves in high esteem? Have we simply awaken to the
realities of our flawed character and impotent abilities, or are we facing the
consequences of our morally reprehensible behavior? Perhaps we are comparing
ourselves to the realities of others who are clearly better, more successful,
smarter, wiser and athletically gifted. And besides isn't it unwise to
think too highly of oneself anyway? And isn't pride a vice far more than a
virtue?
Thinking ill of yourself
is about the most painful psychic pain a person will ever experience. In
fact, it is so painful that we mostly avoid it through denial, rationalization,
excuse and explanation...but these defenses are only Band-Aids on a festering
wound. You can't fool mother nature and your true and abiding opinion of
yourself (your baseline self esteem) leaks through whatever defense you try and
use.
Discover how you can shed
the negative opinions you have built and hold about yourself and how you can
rehabilitate your spirit and self esteem.
