"Oh wad power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see
us."Robert Burns
Helping people
face and overcome life issues which include our behavior, motivation, feelings,
emotions, thoughts and actions has been Larry Gneiting's life long quest.
This program is not therapy or dealing with mental illness or mental
health. This program is based on the premise that all that come here are
normal, mentally healthy, functioning people. However, the definition of
normal, mentally stable people is stretched to include both you and me.
Perhaps our problems and issues are rooted in something other than mental
health or stability. If that is so, and I believe it is, then the solution
to our life problems will be better addressed outside of the medical model of
mental health or unhealth.
Life problems are usually
accompanied by emotional distress or emotional disruption. They
invariably include behavioral issues. What is meant by that is our
emotions either overwhelm us or are repressed and depressed... or perhaps are
simply too often negative. Our behavior is subject to judgment and
criticism and is often contrary to our own best interest and life
goals. We are awash in life spinning out of control, or so it seems.
This is where Life Coaching can and does make the difference
between continued misery, frustration and repetitive results to enhanced self
esteem, peace of mind and a sense of new life control.
However, Life
Coaching isn't only for those of us struggling, it is also for those of
us seeking to achieve even more productive states of consciousness and goodwill.
Achievement is seldom a solitary activity and consciousness, awareness and
enlightenment contrary to what you might have imagined have an important social
component. Having a good coach can and does help us maintain our
balance and growth throughout our lives. All of us have teachers, and
coaches in our lives and at times it can be right to make that commitment a
formal one.
