"Relationships are potentially our most fulfilling aspect of life. Practically, they are often the source of the most pain in our lives. We start out with our new loves and the promise of unequaled joy, we end up with bickering, frustrated broken dreams, or simply the dull ache of unfulfilled promises."
Good relationships depend on love, respect, cooperation, mutual concern, caring, patience and a joy in sharing experiences together. We all know this and we all certainly want these things from our partners...so where's the problem?
When is love not enough? The answer--when we lose sight of it and let the irritations, frustrations, and judgments interfere with our goodwill and connection to each other. We too often find ourselves in the grip of forces seemingly outside our will to resist. We wonder is he/she the right one for us? Why am I so unhappy? Why won't they just try a little harder. I've out grown them. Or we find ourselves growing increasingly frustrated with those we love the most.
Our children turn into teens and we find small problems becoming unmanageable. Why? Can anything be done? The answer is a resounding YES. You can have the miracles relationship you dreamed of with your spouse, children, friends, partner and others.
